June 1, 2009| New members
Nevada Horse Park is proud to add our newest board member, Olympic Bronze Medalist and World Cup Champion in Dressage, Debbie McDonald. Debbie will offer a broad scope of input and insight as to what gaps NHP can fill for upper level dressage riders on the west coast as well as on national and international levels. Additionally Debbie will help NHP to expand on the needs for dressage riders of all levels, from clinics and schooling shows, all the way to FEI level events. Her expertise is truly invaluable and I encourage everyone to read her bio on the Team page.
We are also excited to bring two new members to our Advisory Board, Grand Prix/World Cup rider in Jumpers Mandy Porter, and Owner of Brookside Equestrian in Elk Grove, CA, Adrian Ward. With an active life in the hunter/jumper world as both an impressive competitor and amazing trainer Mandy can offer NHP constructive and significant counsel. Adrian's years as a competitor and horse show manager will also offer Nevada Horse Park great expertise. We graciously welcome all of our new board members.
Maggie Weems has agreed to the task of being our Chairman of the Board of Directors. Maggie bring many years of experience as both a horse person and a first class attorney to assist NHP in its future endeavors as we begin our journey. Thank you Maggie.
NHP is still in the land acquisition process and we will keep you updated on the latest status reports as they become available. We will be holding several fund raisers this summer and will add those dates to our calendar later this month. Please join us for the Brenn Hill concert and cancer benefit on June 13th, at the Carson Valley Inn, Minden NV. 100% of the proceeds will go to various cancer benefits.

01.01.09 | Happy New Year!
As we close out 2008, here are some exciting updates to the progress of
Nevada Horse Park.
On that note we at Nevada Horse Park would like to welcome Adrian Ward of Pickwick Equestrians, Inc. to our board of directors. He is presently one of Northern California's premier horse show managers and he brings to the table an incredible amount of expertise and hands-on experience when it comes to horseshow promotion, organization, and implementation. He is directly involved in all aspects and levels of show management and will be invaluable to us as we get ready to plan our first event.
NHP looks forward to an active and exciting 2009 where the plans and concepts introduced earlier this year will evolve into negotiations and ground breaking events that will be the realization of the legacy of the Nevada Horse Park.
Happy New Year from all of us !!!!!
11.03.08 | County Commissioners Meeting
Tomorrow afternoon at 4pm in Minden, the Board of County Commissioners will be holding their final meeting to approve or deny Park Cattle Company's housing project. Although Park's project does not specifically include Nevada Horse Park, we have been assured that a favorable outcome from the Commissioner's will likely secure the land between Muller and Genoa Lane in Minden for the construction of our project. Details will be decided after the meeting.
We are seeking individuals to speak briefly in favor of the Nevada Horse Park and Park Cattle's project if you are in favor of both. If you are only in consideration of Nevada Horse Park you are still welcome to stand up and show your support. We are in the final stretch of negotiations with Park Cattle to make Nevada Horse Park a reality and absolutely need your assistance.
10.07.08 | Fundraising Campaign!
Dear Friends and Family of Nevada Horse Park,
Please join us in a very exciting one week fundraising/pledge campaign raising $100,000 proving we have the amazing support of our horse communities to build the Nevada Horse Park. You can donate or pledge the money for future use. The current land owners, Park Cattle Co., are anxious to work with us and share our success story--let's rock their world!

07.01.08 | Negotiations
The Nevada Horse Park is in negotiations with one of the pioneering Ranchers in Northern Nevada to secure 3200 acres for the construction and development of the largest, most prestigious Horse Park in the Country. We will be located at the base of the beautiful Sierra Mountains in the lush green town of Minden, and just minutes from Lake Tahoe, a world premier destination spot. Nevada Horse Park will pride itself on a ranching/cowboy aesthetic feel, while maintaining a cutting edge facility with every modern convenience including world class arena footing and stabling to be enjoyed by every level of equestrians. Minden has more than 300 days of sunshine a year and typically enjoys mild temperatures throughout most of the spring, summer, and fall so you and your horse will enjoy beautiful surroundings and a comfortable atmosphere. Nevada Horse Park will have an amazing economic impact for the Douglas County community and the entire state of Nevada , and our goal is to establish an endowment to continue the facilities in perpetuity. We will offer an environment for every horse enthusiast and a quality of amenities to include every member of the community.
